About

The Excerpt Room is a research space dedicated to design history. Working primarily from archival sources, we pursue research in Korean design history, materiality studies, and museum studies. This website consists of a Timeline, which weaves together the many facts about design and its surrounding contexts that our researchers wish to document, and a database of our Library holdings.

What We Do

• Design Archive Documentation Identifying private, public, and independent archives and recording their metadata
• Archive-Based Research Conducting scholarly and applied research grounded in design archival materials
• Corporate Archives & Publishing Surveying and analyzing corporate archives, and planning and producing commemorative publications
